who we are
Civic Alpha is led by Founder and CEO Eric Weingartner who has over 30 years of Government, Not-for-Profit, and Philanthropy experience. Eric was most recently CEO of The Door, one of New York City’s premier youth services organizations and spent a decade as Managing Director at Robin Hood Foundation where he managed and designed the grant strategy for the adult and family portfolios, focused on issues including health care, housing, immigration, veterans, workforce development to name a few. Eric served as a policy advisor to both Mayor Bloomberg and Mayor Giuliani and was the Executive Director of Teach for America.
